Walleye capital of the north
We are situated on Ballantyne Bay on Deschambault Lake with over 2000 square miles of fishable water fed by Ballantyne and Puskwakau Rivers. There is an abundant population of walleye in the 2-3lb class with much larger fish regularly caught. Northern pike are also present and very healthy in the lake and make for some of the most exciting fishing as the takes and the fight can be ferocious.

No day of fishing is complete without a fish fry. Stop, take a break, feel the sunshine, breathe in the fresh air and just enjoy the sizzle of the freshest fish you could ever hope for.
Fantastic place and lovely people. Lovely fishing out on the lake. I have never fished but still caught a few. It was amazing.

Bloomfields is an amazing getaway! Escape the city and relax at an amazing full service resort. Good fishing, good food, explore the island William and pick tonnes of berries. Go swimming, have a fire, its beautiful! Boat rental, cabin rental, lots o' fish and wonderful people.

We have been going up to Bloomfield's Resort since 1992. Gary is extremely knowledgeable and super accommodating!! The cabins are clean, rustic and sooooo comfortable!!!

Winter and Ice Fishing
The fish don't shut down in the winter and neither do we! The ice-fishing season can provide some of the best opportunities to explore and catch the fish of your dreams. When the snow is light you can drive right on to the lake and up to your spot. Alternatively fire up your snow mobile and head out fishing onto Ballantyne Bay or out to one of the nearby lakes that you can't access during the rest of the year.
